for the Festival of Light

December 25th is a day of mystical rebirth and inspiration throughout the world and in many traditions. This time of year brings with it a long and ancient history which truly makes it an international and universal time of reflection and celebration. 

As students of mysticism, we know that this is a period of the year when the avatars, messiahs, and sons of God were born. Therefore, in accordance with Cosmic Law, the 25th December has been a day which celebrates the incarnation on earth of a new messenger, a divine representative, and a true avatar.

Nearly all the nations of the earth in the past, as if by common consent, selected the first minutes after midnight of December 24 to celebrate the giving birth by the “Queen of Heaven,” the “Celestial Virgin” of the sphere, to the God Sol. There are many festivals which date back through the millennia across China, India, Scandinavia, Germany and in pre-Christian times

from ancient Greece, Persia and Egypt, for example. It is as though there is a most special and unique vibration throughout the Earth at this time of the Winter Solstice.

Through the Festival of Light, we can all enter into the mystical spirit of Christmas. We can rejoice in the act of doing our best to bring Life, Light, and Love our fellow humans, and to demonstrate the timeless qualities of humility and the richness of giving.
